How it works with several people

Everyone has a colour, and every item shows who it’s for. In the shop, show just one person’s things – no mix-ups.

Share a code, install Tomli, done. Nobody needs an account, an email or a password.

Type it or say it: “Milk, six eggs and bread”. Tomli writes it down, sorted and with amounts.

Whoever shops gets the list in aisle order. Tomli learns it from your trips, separately for every store.

  1. Who is it for?

    Everyone has a colour, and every item shows who it’s for. In the shop, show just one person’s things – no mix-ups.

    The list “Our family” as cards: each card has a coloured letter in its top right corner for the person it is for – Julia, Tom or Grandma.

  2. Join with a code

    Share a code, install Tomli, done. Nobody needs an account, an email or a password.

  3. Everyone adds their way

    Type it or say it: “Milk, six eggs and bread”. Tomli writes it down, sorted and with amounts.

    Add by voice: understood “milk six eggs and bread oh no whole grain bread”, below it milk, eggs (6) and whole grain bread ready to add.

  4. Sorted for your supermarket

    Whoever shops gets the list in aisle order. Tomli learns it from your trips, separately for every store.

A shared list in three steps

1. Create a household

Install Tomli and create a household. Your list is ready right away.

2. Invite members

Send an invite link or read out the 6-character code. Whoever joins sees the same list, live.

3. Add people without the app

Shopping for someone without an iPhone? Add them as a person. Their items get their own colour.

Questions

How many people can share the shopping list?

Free for up to 3 people with Tomli and 1 person without the app. With Tomli Plus (€9.99/year for the whole household), up to 6 people with Tomli and 6 without.

Does everyone need an account?

No. Whoever is invited installs Tomli and joins with the code. “Sign in with Apple” is optional.

What if two people change something at once?

Tomli merges the changes, and afterwards every phone shows the same list. What you change offline joins in once you’re back online.

Can I shop for someone who has no app?

Yes. Add the person to your household and put their things on the list for them. In the shop, show just their items.

Who is it for?

Anyone who shops together: couples, flatmates and families. More on the family shopping list page.

Is Tomli on Android?

Not yet. Tomli is iPhone only for now; an Android version is coming.
